Students from grade 11 visited Leh-Ladakh for a trip under the tours and treks programme for 2016-17.

Students visited the Shanti Stupa and various monasteries in Leh and Ladakh. They were taken in by the peacefulness and the serenity which prevailed there. There were also other activities like mountain-biking and double-hump camel rides. The students actively took part in these activities and enjoyed themselves thoroughly. The team also interacted with soldiers of the Indian Army and came to appreciate the sacrifices that they make to keep the citizens safe. Everybody’s chest swelled with pride when they visited the Hall of Fame museum which was created and maintained by the Indian Army in memory of the brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the battles of Ladakh and Kargil.

The trip exceeded the expectations of students and gave them an experience to cherish for a lifetime.
